I watched “The Covenant” last night after quite a few days of putting it off… I must say I was relatively impressed.
The movie isn’t an unusual one – typically addresses the audiences of the average cool teenager and likes. The story doesn’t go in-depth of what the covenant is and how it was formed etc.etc. – just concentrates on the “task at hand” if you may.
What impressed me was the visual effects, although you see them in a lot of movies these days, but I guess I didn’t expect them to be so much at par in this movie.

There’s one particular scene where this guy is driving and has an accident with this log truck… the scene is so well picturised… the whole car smashes and blows and in the direction of the motion it is going, it basically regenerates itself just as the road clears ahead!!!
Now that’s what totally blew me – oh god I want a Plasma :(
Overall, The Covenant is a decent popcorn flick if you like to see good special effects and welcome a bit of unscruplous magic without critiscism :)
