hmmm i used to play this song… when i was in the band back in 1996!

when i’m with you
god, some wonderful days those were… we used to practice on my terrace, and then when we got complains from all the surrounding buildings (including ours), we moved to a mate’s place in jogeshwari, right in front of fantasy-land! man we thrashed that place! we were the loudest ever!
then we got a break, playing at sophiesta… and had a amazing line up… anthrax, guns ‘n roses, mr.big, extreme, judas priest, iron maiden etc.
aah the few hours of fame! being on stage, chicks crying out loud below for encore, one of us doing some solo or the other… yash (our lead player) had this amazing arpeggio from “breaking the law” (priest)… mehul (our bass player) had an intro solo along with sheldon (our drummer). vinay (our lead singer) had a stretch on anthrax… and me… hehe… me being the rythm guitarist, created a whole new, “grunge” version of “every breath you take” (police), which the crowd went nuts on!!!
the funniest was when we were introducing our line-up to the crowd as our opener… the crowd was a normal janta (expecting bon jovi, bryan adams) and here we are, all geared up to trash some shit out to them. yes, and vinay goes like, “who here loves anthrax”… 2 seconds, 5 seconds, 10 seconds… nothing but silence… and then one hand goes up… with a scream…. “we doo!!”… i look up, to see my mate, avichal there jumping up and down, doing his “cool” act! god! for that minute, with the question on everyone’s faces, asking, “wtf is anthrax?”, i so wanted to dig my face in between my knees and just vanish… but then, as we started, the crowd began to love us!
miss those days!

10 Apr 2004 Author: Devesh at 8:36 pm In: Generalaargh! i gotta wash my clothes! 3 weeks old! if i don’t wash them now i will not have anything to wear for the whole next week :-
for that i have to get to a convenience store and get all 1 dollar coins because the common washing machine only takes 1 dollar coins!!!
ummm i probably have about 4-5 lots to wash. get on it dev!
second to that i have to get up and clean my friggin place as i have an inspection coming up on the 22nd of april :-(
oh, i was awarded the tenant of the year by ljhooker, my rental-agency :-) and they’ve gifted me a prioroty card… which translates to priority service when i choose ljhooker as my real-estate agents, australia-wide :-)
at least something good! phew!
but yet not enough for me to refrain from saying that “life sucks”!
grrr!

10 Apr 2004 Author: Devesh at 6:43 am In: Books / Comicsa few months ago, i had given this book to kayte to read, “life is so good” by george dawson. she just finished reading that and gave me this one to read: “the da vinci code” by dan brown now i don’t read many fictions, but this seems very interesting… very much on the lines of “the day after tomorrow” by allan folsom hmmmm… oye! has anyone seem my amazon wish-list yet or no???

i think i’m really losing it! i just went down to get some milk as i wanted to have some cocoa-pops. its like a little later than 6 right now… and seeing the streets all empty, i actually was imagining a dragon being conjured up from the skies! i need help! i really need to take a break from charmed! phew!

i can’t stop downloading, and watching charmed! i mean i had seen a few episodes here and there from times of lore (back-home). but god! these days… it’s seriously not funny!
i am an ardent fan of smallville. i have each an every episode since its inception! as i regularly download these episodes (oh not to forget, downloading friends too). it wasn’t long before myself and ray got into trading episodes between each other.
a few weeks ago, ray asked me if i’m a follower of charmed… as i wasn’t then, so inclined, i replied that i ain’t that interested. then smallville & friends were tossed for a break! no new episodes will be released until mid-april! what a heart-breaker! after a few days of constantly watching re-runs of my own saved episodes, i succumbed to watching charmed and so asked ray to burn the episodes he has. he had season 6, until the latest available (episode 17 - hyde school reunion).
god! little did i know, i would get so hooked! and here i am, searching perilously for all the seasons to download. i have managed to get season 1, on the lookout for season 2!
now i think i’m getting an overdose. i woke up this morning (around 3.45am) feeling as if i’m in another world, as if i’ve been “astral-projected” (shhhh!!! yes! i have been obsessed!)
